LABBAIKA IMAM HUSAIN!!! HAIHATA MINAL ZILLA!!!

Shaikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi presided over the closing session of this year’s Ashura mourning session. in his introductory remarks he reiterated that Ashura mourning session is not only an avenue of crying and beating of chest

but intended to redirect humanity to the right path by reviewing and analysing  the examplanary life of Imam Husain(AS). He also recounted the various lessons of Karbala tragedy calling upon all to try and emulate e.g. Imam Husain (AS) on jihadul nafs,  his examplanary role on his family stewardship, likewise social relationships, and more importantly his stance against all form of oppression even if it will cost him his life and that of his family.

Shaikh Turi reiterated the fact that just like it is vividly clear yazid bin mu’awuya was the tyrant during Imam Husain (AS) time it is incumbent upon us to  know the tyrant of our time and Imam Husain (AS) of our time.

He expressed gratitude to Allah (T) for blessing us with the leader of Islamic movement in Africa Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) who has emulated, showed and call us towards the path of Imam Husain(AS) and Ahlul Bait (AS), with whom the true message of Allah (T) is practically shown to us, praying to Allah (T) to make us steadfast along this very path.

Presents were handed over to two categories that have distinguished themselves in the last year’s Yaumul Arbaeen Trek to Zaria. The physically handicapped who have particpated in the 150km trek, and those that have played a great role in the success of the trek.
