This year’s khatama (grand finale) of Maulidin Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (SA) organized by Sisters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Kano zone
was held Saturday 1st Rajab, 1434 (11/05/2013) at ancient Kano city Old central Jumma’at mosque.
In attendance were the special guests in the person of Malama Zeenatuddeen Ibraheem, Hajiya Fatima Aliy, Catholic women forum, others guests from within Nigeria, Various Islamiyya Schools, members of the Islamic movement and the general public.
The venue was colorfully organized with flowers, strategically displayed photographs of the leaders of the Islamic movement Imam Ruhullah khomeni(QS), Ayatullah Aliy khamnaei (QS), Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky(H) and flags colorfully displaying names of A-immah (AS). The air was filled with scent and echoes of salutations to our Noble Prophet (SWA), Sayyida Zahra (SA) and A’immah (AS).
Malama Maimuna Abdullahi in her brief speech narrated how this year’s Maulidin Zahra (SA) took place in sixteen designated neighborhood units and towns within Kano and Jigawa State Nigeria, grouped into eight different zones, that started from Jumadal Ula and ended ending last week of Jumadal Thani. She reiterated the main aim of the mauludil Zahra (AS) was to enlighten and spread the examplanary life and teachings of Sayyida Zahra (SA). To this end, apart from the lecture series, they have helped various categories of the poor and needy, help to orphans, help to Islamiyya pupils, visitation and help to those in hospitals, prison visits, strengthening unity amongst Muslims and also Christians.
A mother that was given a set of furniture for the wedding ceremony of her daughter that she couldn’t purchase was filled with treas of joy. A crippled young lady that has just finish her diploma and is to continue her studies at Bayero University Kano, had one problem of transporting herself to and from the school which she earlier depend on commercial motor cycle that were banded in Kano. She was given a motor cycle realigned to allow disabled people use for transportation.
Mrs Amina Waziri from women Christian forum was appreciative of the examplanary approach and cordial relationship of members of the Islamic movement and general public who will always want to uphold their religious teachings and emulating their leader Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).
Malama Zeenatudden Ibraheem the special guest at the occasion reminded the gathering the purpose of our creation on this earth, i.e the servants of Allah (T). She also reiterated the examplanary life of Sayyida Zahra (SA) worthy of emulation. One amongst the examplanary life of Sayyida Zahra (SA) that we really need to practice and uphold Malama Zeenatudden elucidated in her speech was Sayyida (SA) struggle against injustice and tyranny.
Malama Zeenatudden was the special guest that cut the unity cake and handed over room furnitures, food items, Motor cycle and Victory shield to Fagge/Durbundai zone that excel in this year’s Maulidil-Zahra (SA), Kawo/Gumel zone second placed and Kurna/Tudun Wada came third.
Malama Zeenatudden closed the occasion with a prayer after a concluding thank your message to all from Malama Zahrau El-Yakub.
