The Islamic Movement in Nigeria, under leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky has extended humanitarian assistance to Baga community in Borno state which lately suffered brutal attack.
The materials distributed included drugs, clothes and first aid services to the people in order to contain the health crises in the area.
The Team Leader, Mallam Mustafa Lawal Nasidi Potiskum who lead the group on Sunday the 5th of April 2013, went round some areas in Baga and witnessed the label of damages and destruction inflicted on its defenseless people by the security forces.
Malam Nasidi condoled the community over the dastardly act, and extended the Movement’s sympathy and condolence over the sad situation, saying that the Movement shares with the community the sorrow.
228 people were killed and over 4000 houses and businesses were burnt down, according the Senator Maina Lawal representing Baga consituency, by Soldiers in the town of Baga.
