International Conference on Divine Religions Kicked off in Iran

IRNA
An International conference on divine religions has begun in Isfahan, central Iranian province Thursday morning (06/02/2014), where Zoroastrian, Jewish, Armenian and Assyrian representatives are in attendance.

The gathering is to review moderation from the divine religionsˈ point of view and discuss ethnic violence and conflicts.

Head of the conference secretariat, Hojjatoleslam Habib Reza Arzani said, the event is aimed at introducing the existing capacities in Iran for different religions.

Despite false claims that there is no freedom for religious minorities in Iran, currently some 200,000 followers of various divine religions are living in the country peacefully, said Hojjatoleslam Arzani.
