On Sunday the 14th of April 2013 (4th J-thani 1434) being the second day of the mourning commemoration of Sayyidah Az-Zahra(SA) matryrdom
the Leader of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky spoke further on her sufferings after the demise of the holy Prophet(SAWA)- the sufferings which have been covered by their enemies over time in order to save the perpetrators. Sheikh Zakzaky read from the Sermon of Fadak as reported by her daughter Sayyidah Zainab(AS)- a Sermon full of knowledge, eloquence and wisdom; a sermon which contains the sufferings of Ahlulbayt(AS) after the demise of the Prophet(SAWA), the conducts of enemies of the Ahlulbayt who usurped power as well her challenge to them.
Seikh Zakzaky explained tat having committed thier attrocities on the beloved daughter of the Prophet without achieving their desired result, the group sent by Usurpers left her house. Whereupon she went to the presence of the Khalifa and laid claims to the Property rights of her father and challenged Abu Bakr’s refusal to cede them. The answer she was given was that properties left by the holy Prophet are charity. She further claimed Fadak being a gift given to her by the holy Prophet(SAWA) as it was not part of the inheritance- itwas part of fay’ obtained after khaybar and given to her by the Prophet. A claimed denied too by Abubakr who asked her to produce witnesses outside her Ahlulbayt(AS)- contrary to teachings of Islam. The aims of the userpers was to put the family of the Prophet in hardship and to drive people away from them.
Sayyidah az-Zahra(Salamullahi alaiha) said she is the daughter of the Prophet and a believer of the message he brought, she further put forward reasonings in her claims as she challenged Abubkar by saying the following as contained in the sermon "Will my inheritance be usurped? O son of Abu Quhafa! Where is it in the Book of Allah that you inherit your father and I do not inherit mine? Surely you have come up with an unprecedented thing. Do you intentionally abandon the Book of Allah and cast it behind your back? Do you not read where it says: And Sulaiman inherited Dawood’? (an-Naml:16) and similar verses. Yet Abubkar denied her.
After addressing the Rulers, she turned to the Ansars (the people of Madina) expressings their role in helping the Prophet with their blood and materials. She reminded them of the Prophet’s words on Ahlulbayt and thier rights which they have heard from the Prophet. She reminded them of the Prophet’s words in which he explained the Position of Ali above all others. She finally warned them against chosing the falsehood over right; of prioritising thier men over Ali for worldy gains. Yet none stand by her side despite the plain truth she expalined to them. They rather chose to follow misguidance.
Then having sensed thier unwillingliess to help her she says "...Surely I have said all that I have said with full knowledge that you intent to forsake me, and knowing the betrayal that your hearts sensed.
….Bag the leadership and put it on the back of a she camel, which has a thin hump with everlasting disgrace, marked with the wrath of Allah, and blame which leads to the wrath of Allah kindled (to a blaze), that which does cling to the hearts; For, Allah witnesses what you do, and soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! And I am the daughter of a warner (the Prophet) to you against a severe punishment. So, act and so will we, and wait, and we shall wait.’
After the Lecture the Sheik Led the sunset prayers followed by matam and closing dua.
