The Islamic Movement in Nigeria marks the Birthday anniversary of Abul Fadl Abbas(AS) on Thursday the 5th of Shaban 1434 (13/6/13) at Husainiyyah Baqiiyatullah, Zaria under the leadership of his eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky.
The birthday commemoration was marked together with hoisting of Green Flag on the dome of the Husainiyyah.
Attended by thousands of Muslims from far and near, the programe kicked up by 4:30pm local time. Some of the Activities during the hoisting of the flag include poet recitation by members of Abul Fadl Foundation, unrolling of the green flag and a short address by the Leader of the Islamic Movement.
In his address his eminence Sheikh Zakzaky the leader explained that part of the blessing of God upon us is having some of athar of the Ahlulbayt(AS). One of them is there red flag from the holy Shrine of Imam Husain (AS) which was hoisted last year on the dome Husainiyyah Baqiyyatuulah, Zaria.
This year too there is another blessing of having a green flag from the tomb of Imam Husain’s brother, protector and flag bearer Abul Fadl Abbas (AS), the leader said. He further expressed that to have such athar of pious men especially of the members of the Ahlulbayt(AS) is one of the ambitions of each and every Muslim.
After the short address by the Leader the flag was unrolled and hoisted on the dome of the Husaniyyah Baqiyyatullah in the presence of thousands of people.
