A Tijjaniyya Scholar Sheikh Tanimu Musa while speaking on the tragedy of Karbala says what happened in Zaria on Quds Day on Ramadan 28, 1435 AH was Karbala tragedy re-enacted.
Malam Tanimu Musa who is the Chief Imam of Unguwar Rimi, Kaduna Juma’at Mosque made the statement as guest lecturer at the on-going Muharram Majalis in Kaduna, on Wednesday.
He explained the hatred of the Holy Prophet by Banu Umayyah was transferred to his children, which displayed in the brutal killing of Imam Hussain and a handful of his companions. “It was similar case here, whereby the hatred against Sheikh Zakzaky (H) was transferred to his children and followers, which led to the brutal killings in Zaria”, he stressed.
He therefore encouraged Brothers and Sisters of the Movement to be steadfast in the cause of Imam Hussain, and also strive towards Islamic studies as an obligatory act. “The path of Imam Hussain is very hard and full of trial, you should therefore persevere to attain greater rewards in the hereafter”, he emphasized.
Sheikh Tanimu Musa prayed to Allah to take vengeance on all those killed in Zaria, as He will on the killers of the Prophet’s family. He also prayed for Allah’s continued protection on Sheikh Zakzaky, his family and followers.
The cleric also traced the history of Karbala to the Ghadeer Khum by the Holy Prophet, which he said sparked the more deep-rooted hatred of the Prophet’s Family by the despotic Banu Umayyah.
He further explained that, because Banu Umayyah could not accept the leadership of the Prophet’s Family after him, they resorted to killing them one after the other up to Imam Husain in Karbala on Muharram 10, 61 years after Hijra.
The Chief Imam said, Ashura Majlis is now gathering now gathering momentum in Nigeria with the bold exposition of atrocities of Banu Umayyah by Sheikh Zakzaky, adding that such accounts of atrocities were also recorded in famous Islamic books. “We should therefore extend gratitude to Allah for raising among us a true caller with the true call of the Holy Prophet”, Malam Tanimu added.
Citing reference from authentic books, the cleric established the fact that the Prophet’s family are the successors of his knowledge and leadership of the Ummah, “Imam Jafar al-Sadiq has established this fact when he said, ‘We are the Ahllul Zikr’”.
Commenting on the lecture, Malam Mukhtar Sahabi thanked the cleric for honouring the invitation and the inspiring lecture.
At the end of the lecture, Sheikh Tanimu Musa was presented with three volumes of Islamic books as gift to express the Movement’s appreciation.
