During the Ashura mourning session in Jos, Sheikh Adamu Tsoho explained why Imam Hussain(AS) denied allegiance to Yazid. Speaking to myriad of people at the Islamic center adjacent to Government secondary school Anguwan Rogo in the Jos metropolis.
“Yazid is a drunkard and a womanizer while Imam Husain is the son of the prophet, kin of the prophet as well as companion” He said “ if Imam Husain could have pledge allegiance to Yazid, it means the Imam is in support of Yazid and his tyrannical government”.
He further said “even before the death of Muawiyah, there was a schism when Muawiyah contact the elders to pledge allegiance to Yazid because of his shenanigan acts.
“the poems Yazid sang when they brought him the head of Imam Husain to his palace have made many Islamic scholars regard him as an unbeliever” said Sheikh Tsoho giving narrations from different books.
While saying the lessons of Karbala he emphasizes brothers and sisters not to surrender or pledge allegiance to any tyrant leader.
Before he round up his lecture, he spoke on the deteriorating security situation of Nigeria. Saying Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky is the only voice speaking.
