The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) under the able leadership of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) marked a 3-day programme marking the 100-day atrocities of the Nigerian government on members of IMN who were on symbolic Arbaeen Trek to Zaria to commemorate the 40 days martyrdom of Imam Husain (AS) on Monday 14th November, 2016 in Kano, Nigeria.
The 3-day programme started on Sunday 26th February, 2017 with prayers at Kano Markaz, Visitation to families of Martyred, those injured and hospitalized, likewise those held in captivity on Monday 27th February, 2017 and lastly concluded by a Remembrance Day lecture and protest march on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The special guest on the 3rd day of the programme Mal Muhammad Abare in his speech reminded followers of the glorious path where Muslims are enjoyed to remain steadfast as Allah (T) Has foretold them that He will test them and promised those who remain steadfast of victory. Likewise the tyrants and oppressors shall fail in all their evil as Punishment from Allah awaits them, he said.
Mal Sunusi AbdulKadir Koki in his comment demanded for justice to prevail calling for the immediate and unconditional release of those held in detention, with 58 Brothers and Sisters of IMN still held in custody among them are ladies and underage who are denied legal rights.
Records have shown the combine force of the Nigerian Police and their intelligent services descended on Members of the IMN on that faithful day who were trekking and saying no other thing apart from praises to Allah (T) and salutation to the Noble Prophet Muhammad (S) and his pure progeny (AS), martyring 27 members of the IMN, killing scores of passersby and still holding 58 members in which 10 are female and 6 are underage.
The protest march that was held after the lectures on the Remembrance Day called for the immediate release of its leader Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) who for more than 400 days is held by the Nigerian government denying him from seeing his doctor despite ailing health of his remaining right eye. They also called for justice to prevail and the immediate release of members of the IMN held unjustfully.
