Sisters’ Seminar held in Bauchi/Pictures

Sisters Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Bauchi zone has organized a three-day seminar to revitalize the spiritual endeavour, dedication, co-exiatence and Islamic awakening among the sisters.

The annual event was organized to coincide with the birthday of Sayyedah Zainab (AS) as a mark of honour and blessing on the personality of the great Lady from the Progeny of the Holy Prophet (SAWA). It was held at the new Bauchi Markaz on from Friday, 27/02/2015.

The event which was well attended featured speakers such as the Ameer of Bauchi Malam Ahmad Yashi, who spoke on the “Child Upbringingin Islam” where he itemized steps to be taken in the training of a child as recommended by Islam.

During the night session, Sayyed Abdullahi Ashura spoke on “Matrimony in Islam”, in which he focused on how women could gain control of their spouses through good conduct and obedience to laid down rules of matrimony.

The speaker enumerated examples in the matrimonial bliss as exemplified by Sayyedah Zahra (AS) in her life time towards her husband ImamAli (AS).

On the second day Malam Aminu from Kafin Madaki spoke on “Preparation for the Life Beyond”, where he charged participants on dedicated religious service, strict motification of the soul and flesh as preparatory steps for an everlasting life after death.

Evening of the second day was time for a lecture by Malam Nuruddeen Aliyu on the “Contribution of Sisters to the Islamic Movement”. He listed great women in history who dedicated their lives and all they possessed to the establishment of Islam, such as the Beloved wife of the Holy Prophet Nana Khadijah; Sayyedah Zainab (AS); and women of the recent past era such as Nana Asma’u, daughter of Sheikh bn Fodiye.

The speaker gave example of the present day situation where women such as Malam Zeenatuddeen Ibraheem, wife of Shaikh Zakzaky, are playing significant role in the current Islamic awakening and revival.

He cited the sacrifces she made and her perseverance with the loss of three children as martyrs in a single day in the course of the struggle.

Leader of the Sisters’ Forum in Bauchi, Malama Suwaibat Yunusa was the next peaker during the night session, where she drew attention of the sisters on good conduct.

She discouraged them from unbecoming attitudes that could become embarrassment and setback to Islam, as representatives of the Islamic Movement.

Malama Suwaibat led the sisters to a round table discussion on specific issues that effects them with the aim of providing solution.

In the morning of the third and final day of the seminar, Malam Hamza Idrees spoke on the need for knowledge acquisition, especially as it regards Islamic Laws in the conduct of religious acts.

He urged the women not to relent in the acquisition of knowledge on every aspect of the religion, saying as mothers they the duty of coaching their children to be good practicing Muslims.

The last lecture was by Malam Kabir Malumfashi, who delibarted on the importance of resources in improving the economic base of the Movement.

He made reference to the constant statements of Shaikh Zakzaky who emphasized on the need for members to use their God given resources (mental faculty and material) to establish structures in the Movement.thanked Allah for making the event a huge success.

At the close of the seminar, leader of the Sisters’ Forum in Bauchi Malama Suwaibat  Yunusa enumerated success recorded uring the tree-day seminar, and thanked Allah for making it possible.

Highlight of the vent was a drama presentation on the life of Sayyedah Zainab (AS).
