El-Zakzaky alleges plot to kidnap sisters
October 13, 2014 by Godwin Isenyo, Kaduna
The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, also known as Shi’ites, Sheikh Ibrahim El- Zakzaky, has raised the alarm that it has uncovered plot by those who allege it was involved in the abduction of Chibok schoolgirls, to kidnap sisters of the Islamic Movement.
The cleric also said the allegation was mere smokescreen to aggravate activities of the so-called terror sect, Boko Haram, to pave way for the official entry of US and Israeli intelligence in Nigeria in the name of war on terror.
Spokesman for the group, Malam Ibrahim Usman, in a statement said this during the Eid Ghadeer commemoration at Husainiyyah Baqiyyatullah Zaria, Kaduna State last Saturday.
He explained that the plan was to kidnap the sisters as they move to Zaria for the three-day Ghadeer programme.
El-Zakzaky therefore called on them to always move in groups and in broad daylight as they attend the programme.
He said none of them should go back to her destination alone to avoid being kidnapped.
He also called on the brothers in the movement to give the sisters maximum protection, even if doing so would cost their lives.
It would be recalled that the Leader had exposed a plan by the Nigerian security operatives to create fake guards (Hurras) of the Islamic Movement who would shoot at soldiers on their way back from their military exercise.
