Sheikh Zakzaky Freedom:Jubilation in Major cities and towns.

Following the court verdict freeing the the Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheik Ibraheem Zakzaky and wife on Wednesday the 28th of July 2021, hundreds of supporters of the Sheikh took to major streets in various places in jubilations.

In some places thanksgivings were organized while in other places people flooded street expressing their happiness over the judgement.
The leader won the first case in December 2016 when Justice Kolawale of Federal High Court Abuja acquitted the Sheikh and Wife and set them free.
However, the Kaduna State Governor Nasir Elrufai detained the Sheikh and filed fresh allegations against the him in Kaduna High court and took the Sheikh and wife to Kaduna under detention.
The leader was charged together with his wife, on eight count charges, among which were alleged culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, disruption of public peace, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The court declared that the prosecutor couldn’t prove the case against him. At the end of over two years detention in Kaduna the Kaduna high court established a ”no-case submission" and thus acquitting the leader of all charges.
