Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky has tasked members of the Martyrs’ Foundation, otherwise known as Shuhada Foundation, to intensify effort in order to face the ever increasing challenges ahead of them.
He made the statement while closing this year’s three-day annual general meeting of the Foundation, which took place at the Fudiyyah Islamic Centre, Danmagaji, Zaria, Sunday.
Sheikh Zakzaky reminded them of the enormous task ahead of them, especially to cater for the welfare of the family of martyrs and those related to them to the best of their ability. He said, all aspects relating to the welfare of families of the martyrs should be identified, compiled and addressed by the Foundation to the best of its ability.
The Martyrs’ Foundation was constituted over the years to cater for the welfare of martyrs and living martyrs of the Islamic Movement under Sheikh Zakzaky, and meets annually prior to the Martyrs’ Day in the month of Rajab, which also coincides with commemoration of martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kazeem (AS), to review progress and identify emerging issues.
