Sheikh Zakzaky Addresses Conference on Islamic Awakening in Iran

Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, Monday, addressed the opening session of the international conference on Islamic Awakening currently holding in Tehran, Iran.

The conference, which is taking place at the Esteqlal Hotel in Tehran, witnessed deliberations from members of the supreme council of the Islamic Awakening committee.

The Leader of the Shiite Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky siad that Iran is the pioneer of Islamic Awakening and this incident occurred when African  and the African Arabic countries were under the influence of imperialism.

He also mentioned the regrettable situation in South Sudan and massacre of Muslims in Central Africa and noted that there is need for unity among Muslims as well as other religions.

 Issues discussed focused on how to guard the awakening from being hijacked by foreign elements, as well as modeling the awakening process in the footstep of late Imam Khomeini (QS). The meeting also reviewed the achievements recorded since the first international conference on Islamic Awakening, and what followed after.
