The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky has on Saturday the 14th of March 2015 delivered a closing speech of a 3-day Youths conference held at Fudiyyah Islamic Center, FIC, Zaria.
In his speech he spoke on the importance and significance of adolescent period and called on the youths towards sound character and holding to the teaching of Islam. He also urged the youths to better use of the adolescent period as enemies always target them through by various means and plots in the period for the fact that youths are the backbone of a nation building.
The period should be spent in acts of worship and obedience to Almighty Allah(SW), so that as one advances in age, he/she will be rewarded for acts he could not perform due to age, he emphasized.On moral decadence, the leader said both parents could not be spared due to the great role they suppose to play in child training.
He called on parents towards good and proper training for their children adding that proper care is beyond feeding and sending them to school, but the parents have to be model too for the children adding that proper training and aherence to moral value should be sought when proposing for a marriage partner by both boys and girls.
He concudled by exposing the high status of youths in the society, especially in the Islamic struggle, for being the highest portion of the Ummah.
