Tuesday, Safar 18th 1436, the trek picked up earlier than the usual time from Kwanar Baguda due to security report on the plan to attack the trek along the route.
The route was scanned and evidences of buried explosives were found.
A truck was also reported to have crashed in the suspected area, of which reason for that was yet unknown.
In a brief address to the marchers, Sheikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi leading the trek, explained the security situation and called on the people to be more security conscious and intensify prayer.
He said, the sudden diversion along the road was as a result of the security report received.
The people said they were more determined to go ahead against all odds.
The place is the very spot where two young boys were crushed by a moving vehicle during last year’s trek, and the marchers paid respect to the martyrs at the spot with prayers.
This is the vehicle that crashed at the spot where explosives were believed to have been buried.
