Sheikh Dr Muhammad Saleh Speaks on Ashura Tragedy on 5th Muharram in Kaduna

In continuation to the annual Ashura mourning gathering by Muslims disciples  of his eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky in Kaduna, on day 4 of the gathering, equivalent to 5th of Muharram 1437, Dr Muhammad Saleh-Islamic Scholar and a lecturer; he is also a leading Imam  from Kaduna was the guest speaker.

Cursing the Killers of Imam Husain is no where in History Reported to Have Said it Leads to Apostasy or Hell— Says Dr. Muhammad Saleh

Dr. Muhammad Saleh who began by deriving lessons to be learnt from the battle of Karbala, touched many aspect of the battle. Speaking on the lessons, he stated that, "There are two main aspects to be learnt when talking on the issue, aspect of mourning for what befell to the progeny of the Holy Prophet at Karbala and the aspect of merry making most especially on 10th of Muharram in which people were being misleaded to intensify on eating and drinking.



Speaking on mourning for Imam Husain, Dr. Muhammad Saleh cited references from Sunni traditions that Sayyidah Fatimah Azzarah(a.s) will emerge on the Day of Judgement in black dressing commemorating the martyrdom of her son,

meanwhile, seeking for vengeance of his blood. He buttressed his statement with Hakim Mustadrak, Turmidhi and Tabarani. Therefore, he enphasized the needs for Muslim Ummah to strictly shun from keeping or standing aloof from the progeny of the Holy Prophet.



Dr. Muhammad spoke at length on some unparalleled virtues of Imam Ali and Ahlul Kisa’. " It was reported to have said that, the Holy Prophet(pbuh & hf) have said, "The most bounteous servant among my Ummah and all Apostles of Allah is Ali". After my life, there are two set of people among my Ummah that the genesis of infliction to all miseries and molestations on my progeny will be the culprits: "Yazidu Ibn Mu’awiya and Ubaidullah ibn Ziyad". He added that, it is for the obvious reasons known to all sundry that Yazidu Ibn Mu’awiya imbibes drinking of Alcohol and indulges to all kind 

of social vices. He also supported his statements by turning pages of history from Sunni traditions such as Mustadraq al-Sahihain, Book of Ibn Kathir and many more. 



Speaking on companions, killers of Hussain(a.s), he cited verses from the Holy Qur’an categorizing the Companions into three vix: "The undisguised hypocrites(Qur’an, 63:1), the disguised hypocrites(Qur’an, 9:101) and the diseased-hearted(Qur’an, 23:12). He acknowledged that some group of Companions will be expelled from being with the Prophet and from benefiting from pond of al-Khathar. Upon a call by the Prophet, "Ummatee, Ummatee, a response will be issued attributing turning astray by the Companions after the demise of the Holy Prophet(pbuh & hf).



At the end of his lectures, Dr. Muhammad explained that coursing the renown killers of Imam Hussain is never in history reported to have said that, it leads to hell. He categorically said that, " It is the large number of traditionists and volumes of narrated Books that are supposed to be blamed or linked with Infidels(Kuffars).



The speaker also expressed concern on how religious clerics are utilizing this critical condition of mourning for the unsoiled family members of the Prophet to link the mourners with apostasy and hell-fire, and then called for strong ties and unity among all Muslim ummah.



The Ameer of the zone, Sheikh Mukhtar Sahabi thanked the speaker for the aspiring lectures delivered.
