Shaikh Zakzaky Donates Foodstuff in Gyallesu as Hoodlums Attack

As has been the norm for several years in every holy month of Ramadan, Shaikh Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria distributed foodstuff to the residents of Gyallesu in a bid to alleviate their economic hardship. 

But despite the fact that Zakzaky is still in detention, but he has given the nod for the foodstuff to be distributed and a lot of poor residents of the area benefitted from the humanitarian gesture including the victims of the massacre engineered by Burutai under led by Nigerian President Buhari.  The arrival of the food was greeted with cheer by the residents which added credence to the fact that they appreciated the gesture.



No sooner had the foodstuff been shared than a bunch of hired thugs attacked a number of houses, spilled the foodstuff to the ground and

ransacked the remaining groceries waiting to be distributed among the poor. It was from then on that the hired thugs went to the house of

Hajiya Maimuna, a younger sister to Malam Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky and attacked her but she was  saved by good Samaritans.  It

was not clear who was behind this dastardly bizarre act but a reliable source has it that the sabotage was hatched and sponsored by Salafist

mosque in the area.



Many a commentator aired his about the incident with some wondering how hatred towards members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria was

visible even in the face of the current economic hardship in the country, especially during this holy month of Ramadan.

However, the distribution of the Foodstuff  continued the next day.
