Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Yaqub Zakzaky has condiment the recent bomb attack on civil servants in Zaria on Tuesday, describing it as callous act of sadists and enemies of humanity.
A suicide bomber was reported to have detonated a bomb during verification exercise on Kaduna State civil servants at the Sabon Gari Zaria local government headquarters, in which scores were killed and many more injured.
The unfortunate event occurred few days to the planned International Quds Day procession called by the Islamic Movement this Friday.
Commenting on the incidence shortly after the Ramadan Tafsir on Tuesday at the Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Shaikh Zakzaky said bomb attacks during Ramadan has become a routine event in recent years, citing the recent similar ones in Jos and Kano.
He also cited last year’s bomb attack on the convoy of General Muhammad Buhari and Shaikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, which he said also happened in Ramadan.
He reiterated that, those who imposed a 24-hour curfew shortly after the two incidents were the same people who executed the attack, as there was no reason for the curfew when the dead and the injured were being ferried to hospitals for medication.
“Those who set bombs are still around in this country. We know that those Americans who came under the guise of rescuing Chibok girls are still around. The kidnapped girls are nowhere in sight, instead we constantly witness bomb attacks. We also know that the Israeli security agents contracted by Nigerian government to fight terrorism are still around. Their hands are visible in all these massacres”.
He added that, the hands of the perpetrators were visible in all the crimes committed, saying an Anti-Bomb vehicle was seen passing before Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah heading to the scene of the bomb blast in Zaria, shortly before the event occurred.
Shaikh Zakzaky who alleged conspiracy in the bomb attacks across the country, argued that no Muslims no matter his creed could just kill fellow Muslims when they are fully devoted to worship in the holy month of Ramadan. “This a callous act of stone-hearted sadists, who have no sympathy for human lives. This can never be the work of one who profess religion, Islam in particular. It was the work of the same people who set bombs at the Kano Juma’at mosque”, he added.
The Leader also observed the timing of these bomb blasts and how it came to Zaria within the period said, it not be unconnected with planned Quds Day procession and the continued desperate attempt to assassinate him.
He said, a plane was seen hovering consistently over his residence, while the volunteer traffic warders foiled attempt by suspected security vehicles to attack him while returning home from Tafsir.
He recalled last year’s Quds Day massacre by the Nigerian military under the direct command of Israel, saying the same people are still around and more emphatic on actualizing their heinous agenda.
According to Shaikh Zakzaky, the fact that a new government has been instituted did not mean these massacres would stop, so long as the Americans and Israelis are still around and controlling Nigerian security system.
He finally prayed to Allah to invoke His wrath on perpetrators of these crimes and expose their agents within the fold. “Our hope and prayer is that all their plans boomerang”.
