On Saturday the 12th of September 2015, Muslims in Nigeria under the Leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (h) remembered those killed by despotic military regime of General Sani Abacha on September 12, 1996.
The event took place at Zaria City Jumaat Mosque. After the lecture on the 19th event of 1996 crackdown, there was a peaceful procession to the graveyard of the martyrs located at Bishir Quarters in Zaria where the leader of the Islamic Movement delivered a speech and closing prayers.
On Friday the 12th of September 1996 the despotic regime of late General Sani Abacha arrested the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzakay with aim of bring the Islamic Movement to naught. The next day the regime cracked down on Muslims who staged peaceful processions accross major cities in Nigeria demanding the release of the Sheikh.
