Re: The Treachery of the Century…a Case of Charcoal Calling a Kettle Black

By Mahfuz Mundadu
The article authored by Mohammad Qaddam Sidq Isa on page 43 of
DAILY TRUST, Friday, July 15, 2016 refers. Muhammad Qaddam Sidq Isa’s animosity against the Muslims that subscribe to the school of Ahlul Bayt otherwise known as Shia knows no bound. His insatiable quest to cry wolf where none exist is legendary.

It is obvious that Qaddam Sidqisin cahootsforhis desperate attempt to impress his cohorts. If credit must be given to a garbage-in-garbage-out phrenic couth, then Qaddam Sidq must have passed with some flying colours in telling it to the world or at least the readers of his column what we all know.Yes, the invasion of Iraq and other Muslim nations under the false pretext of war on terror and the dispossessing Saddam of weapons of mass destruction, is the evil machinations of the imperialist West, the goons in Washington and the criminal enterprise of Zionism.

However, when Qaddam Sidq comes to the issues that demand for intellectual rigour, objectivity was thrown to the wind.Half truths, baseless allegations, folklore and fairy tales become some recurring decimals in the write up. Suffice it to say that Mohammad Qaddam Sidq Isa was having some challenges inunderstanding the difference between fact and fictions.Misguided by a prima facie case of “Sharia sabaninhankali…innakum la ta quuluunamunkaranwazuuraa”, he erroneously assumed that by the time the readers of his column would be perusing the piece, their logical reasoning and critical thinking faculty must have been temporarily out of service. He couldn’t have been wrong more.

Separating the grains from the chaff or the garbage from the cabbageas it applies tothe piece in question is never a rocket science, even as the only evidence ofcreativitytherein remainsits caption“The Treachery of the Century”. Yet I look around but could not find any and a bigger turncoat but the author himself. Here him: “while ordinary Iraqis irrespective of their sectarian affiliations were organizing themselves to form resistance fronts, the first treacherous reaction came from the Iraqbased Iranian Shiite Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani himself who, as the spiritual leader of the Iraqi Shiites, issued a Fatwa prohibiting the Shiites from resisting the US-led invaders, and warning them against doing whatever could hamper the US-led coalition’s invasion of the country”. Until Mohammed Qaddam Sidq produce the original text of His Emminece’s fatwa we shall continue to recite the ‘… in jaa a kumfasiquun bi naba in fata bayyanuu… (oh you who believe, if an iniquitous person brings you a report, verify its correctness… Quran, Al-Hujraat, Verse 6).

What QaddamSidq finds convenient to avoid is going way back in time. Isa seemed either to be a poor student of history or a master in the art of double think. That is, Qaddam Sidq knows but refuses to know…Isa might be conscious of the truth but for a reason best known to him decided to venture in to the tirade of peddling some carefully constructed mendacities.

To clear the fog and the buzz Isa labored to broadcast, I will quote from the magisterial thesis authored by Daryl Kimball and Peter Crail. “Prior to the March 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 1441 in November 2002 giving Iraq a “final opportunity” to comply with its disarmament requirements under previous Security Council resolutions. At issue was Iraq’s failure to provide an adequate accounting of its prohibited weapons programs or to convince UN inspectors that its weapons of mass destruction had been destroyed as Baghdad claimed.”

With the exception of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all the nation States from the Middle East region and all the Arab States from Africa together with all other non Arab Muslim States were and are still being ruled by Sunni affiliates in form of Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and what not. Yet none of them objected to the disarmament of a fellow “Sunni” nation headed by a “Sunni” buddies. Not only that they refused to object to it, kingdoms like that of Saudi Arabia where covertly and overtly championing the disarmament project. Also when operation desert stormcommenced, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia together with most of the Arab nation states in the middle east and beyond, lend financial, moral and logistical support to the invaders. Mohammad Qaddam Sidq sees nothing wrong with all these shameful act of betrayal. In Libya there was no Shia cleric to issues fatwa against resisting the imperialist invasion. Qaddam Sidq could not find any punching bag. Yet Ghaddafi played in to the hands of same goons.

Lack of leadership in the Sunni world remains the monster behind all its predicament. While Saudi Arabia is busy exporting ISIS, Alqaeda and Boko Haram through the Wahhabi-Takfirism phenomenon, the Islamic Republic of Iran has stood head above shoulder and challenge the imperialist hegemony. While Saddam was busy asking how high he will jump to the orders issued by his imperialism masters Iran was busy building its defense capability. In spite of excruciating economic sanctions, sabotage and subterfuge the Islamic republic of Iran remains the “last man” standing majestically. The Islamic Republic of Iran couldn’t have built such a defense capability, formidable enough to reduce the threat of gangsters in fancy suits to mere diplomatic rhetoric by trading blames of sponsoring some arm chair columnist to act as fifth columnist. Whereever GizomijinQoqi is, he must have been turning blue with envy.

If Qaddam Sidq is envious of Shiite advancement in all field of human endevour, he should be told that it did not attain such an enviable height by being the yours obedient servant of the axis of evil as personifies by the imperialist West, the criminal enterprise of Zionism as well as the hydra headed Wahhabi-Takfirism. When next you write about Shia, Qaddam may wish to be wise by additional half. Blaming Shiites or anybody for that matter for refusing to settle a dispute between a hunting dog and his hunter Boss is an unsettling tale tale of intellectual bankruptcy.
