Members of the IMN in Kano, Nigeria just like in different cities came out to voice out their protest of the continued detention of its leader Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) on Friday 24th March, 2017 after the Friday prayers.
The protest in form of protest march, was led by Mal Sunusi AbdulKadir Koki from Fagge Friday mosque marching along Ibrahim Taiwo road and ending at Bello road roundabout with protesters carrying placards. They protester issued press release and calling for the unconditional release of Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) who’s health condition is deteriorating. Mal Sunusi after the protest reiterated the call for government of President Muhammad Buhari to obey court order and release of Shaikh Zakzaky unconditionally, his wife Malama Zeenatuddeen Ibrahim and many of his followers who have been in detention in various Nigerian Prisions after the December 12-14th, 2015 Nigerian Army Zaria massacre on the members of IMN on the pretext of roadblocked by IMN members when chief of army staff Gen Tukur Buratai was passing. The massacre have resulted in the killings of close to 1000 followers by the army using heavy gun artillery in addition to burningof infants, youths and old alive; others are still missiing.
