The Nigerian Police has handed over ten (10) bodies killed by Military to the Islamic Movement on Tuesday the 6th of November 2018 to the Legal Team of the Islamic Movement.
The people were shot dead by the military while conducting annual Arabeen trekking in Commemoration of Imam Husain(alaihis salam) on Monday the 29th of October 2018 in Abuja.
Before handing over the martyrs to the Legal Team, the bodies were kept in different hospitals as follows:
General Hospital Gwagwalada- 3 bodies
General Hospital Asokoro – 5 bodies
National Hospital Abuja- 2 bodies.
This is number of bodies available at this time. Arrangement is being made for their funeral this week.
The Nigerian Military opened fire on peaceful during a religious programme on Monday the 29th of Oct 2018 killing several number of people while injuring over two hindered. The Military An Assault drew condemnation from various quarters on the Nigerian army and the Government.
