Necessary Arrangemnts have been concluded for Sheikh Zakaky and Malama Zeenah to leave Nigeria for medical Treatment abroad. The Sheikh was under the custody of the Nigerian Security Personnel in Kaduna after the Court Permission.
It could be recalled that Nasir Elrufai made a plea asking the court to make Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife to each produce two prominent people as sureties including a high class traditional ruler before allowed to go abroad for medical care, however the request by the Governor was not accepted as the Court cannot stay the execution of orders of this nature. The delay was not caused by the Governor’s delay tactics. It’s not unusual that patients moving from their home country to another may get some delay due to what many Nigerians called "paper works" . The couple are now in Abuja and are expected to be flown out today.
