The visit of the Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky to the holy shrine of the Commander of the faithfuls Imam Ali bn Abi Talib(AS) in Najaf Al-ashraf, Iraq.
Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqub Zakzaky, Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria has been presented with an international award for his service of Imam Hussain (AS) and his cause. He was presented with the award at a three-day international conference in the city of Ardabil, Iran.
Tagged, “The 10th International Conference of Old Admirers of Imam Hussain (AS)”, Sheikh Zakzaky received the award alongside renowned Islamic scholars for their selfless dedication to Imam Hussain (AS) and his cause.
The award presentation received wide media coverage, even as the Iranian television, in conjunction with Mustafah International University at the city of Ardabil, organized a special programme commemorate the award to Sheikh Zakzaky.
Sheikh Zakzaky presented a speech on the morning of the last day of the occasion on the steadfastness of Imam Hussain (AS), his revolution and the rationale behind keeping alive the cause of the Imam.
After the three-day award ceremony in Ardabil, Sheikh Zakzaky proceeded to the city of Najaf in Iraq, where he visited the tomb and home of Ameerul Mumineena, Ali Bn Abi Talib (AS). He also paid homage to the tomb of Maitham At-Tammar (RA), a great companion of Imam Ali (AS)
It could be recalled that sometime this year, Sheikh Zakzaky was presented with the red flag from the dome of the hloy shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala, Iraq for championing the cause of Imam Hussain (AS)
