After the grand commemoration of the passing away of the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad Bin Abdullah (SAWA), by His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) in Zaria, Kano and Bauchi organized similar event in their respective areas.

On Sunday evening, 29 Safar 1436 (21/12/2014), Sheikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi condoled the Muslim Ummah over the passing away of theNoble Messenger of Allah, which also coincided with the passing away of Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Ali al-Ridha (AS).

Sheikh Turi briefly narrated the event of Black Thursday (Raziyyatu Yawm al-Khamis), which occurred on the Safar 24, when the Holy Prophet was denied the pen and paper he requested to write down a final statement, which if the Ummah had strictly followed, no calamity would befell it.

He also narrated the event of 26 Safar, when the Holy Prophet while stressing the obligation of adherence to the Ahlul Bayt (AS), dispatched an army delegation under Usama, that included the prominent Companions, except Imam Ali (AS).

He pointed out that, despite Allah’s curse on those who deviated and disobeyed as proclaimed by the Holy Prophet, the army was delayed and subsequently refused to go on the pretext of concern over the deteriorating state of health of the Messenger of Allah.

Sheikh Turi finally gave account of the Holy Prophet’s heavenly departure on 28th Safar, when the angel of death came knocking and asked permission to take the Prophet’s gently and revered soul to heavenly abode.

He called on people to deduce lessons from the brief account of what transpired on the last few days before the Holy Prophet’s death.

Ziyarat and du’a were recited, which signaled end of the event.

Similar event was organized on Saturday in Bauchi attended by multitude of people at the Bauchi Fudiyyah School.

Abdullahi Lushi opened the occasion with reading from the Glorious Qur’an, followed by introduction of theatre crew of IM. Production by Malam Adamun Adamawa.

The crew demonstrated the last few days of the Holy Prophet through drama.

The drama portrayed the sickness of the Holy Prophet, the event of the Black Thursday in which the Prophet was denied pen and paper, and the disobedience to the army of Usama.

After the drama presentation, Ameer of Bauchi, Malam Ahmad Yashi gave a brief account of the Prophet’s death and lesson to be deduced from the sequence of events leading to his final breath.
