We will begin by quoting an icon of justice and fairness, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in one among his numerous statesments saying “Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed.”
When we are talking of civilization, we may be left with no other options than to say that any country or society that has a well developed, culture, system of government, and way of life and treats its citizens fairly has all it takes to be called civilised.
Hence,a fair justice system is a fundamental part of a civilized society reason why the Judiciary is one of the most important component and arm of a responsible government.
Also, we cannot do away with the core mandate of the ICC as a court of last resort with the capacity to prosecute individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes when national jurisdictions for any reason are unable or unwilling to do so.
The International Criminal Court stated that War crimes breaches the Geneva conventions and other laws of war in the context of armed conflict, such as using child soldiers, torturing prisoners of war + more. (#ICCRomeStatute20)
It is not a hidden fact that any positive physical and intellectual Movement cannot be devoid of knowledge, freedom , and happiness.
The Islamic movement in Nigeria under the distinguished leadership of his eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky is a mass Movement of millions of people that started in the late 1970s with few brothers and sisters in the universities calling for a divine system that will bring Justice, fairness , equality and development to rule the country.
From 1979 to 2018 , the number of Muslims and Christians in the movement progressed from tens to millions-a fact that the movement is positive, convincing and powerful.
Why was the leader of the movement attacked and detained unjustly by the APC government of General Buhari?
We can recall that the Nigerian Army has on Friday 25 July 2014 shot 34 brothers and sisters of the Islamic movement including three of his sons, after a pro-Palestinian procession in Zaria. Whereby many stakeholders of the APC condemned the attack against him including General Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Abba Kyari, Mr Nasiru Elrufai.
If the Zaria Pogrom was not an agenda why would those that condemned the attack against Shaikh Zakzaky by the former administration will commit the most heneous attrocities ever in the history of Nigeria (Zaria Massacre)?
Following a stage managed traffic obstruction on the 12 December , 2015 , the Nigerian Army raided the house of Shaikh Zakzaky and massacred over one thousand of brothers and sisters of the movement including his 78 year old sister , his nephew and his three sons.
He was shot at close range, to kill him, but Allah wished to see him alive after the barbaric December attack. He has been denied proper medical care, but he is still living. A vigorous campaign of calumny against him has been mounted by the puppets of imperialists, yet the pious Shaikh still enjoins progressive support from millions of people within and outside Nigeria.
This reminds us about the struggle of the likes of Imam Khomenini, Mahamtma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela, Walter Rodney, Dr Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X etc. Why were they oppressed? Who was behind the killing of some of them? Who was behind all sorts of oppression against them? Are they a threat ? If yes to who?
Responsible people will say it loud and clear that they are threat to imperialists, and devilish entities.
Shaikh Zakzaky has spent 1000 days in an unjust detention by the government despite the court ruling that ordered for his release and compensation.
Now that the Shaikh is battling with health challenges, we saw some information from social media outlets that we cannot ignore concerning one of the DSS staff called Mahmoud Tanko Ningi.Ningi was sent to Kaduna by the sacked Lawal Daura to prevent Shaikh Zakzaky’s Doctors and family members from visiting the Shaikh. According to some concerned Nigerians, Ningi was among the agents that some devilish entities are using to fulfil General Buhari’s mission to kill Shaikh Zakzaky in order to satisfy the Imperialists.
These devilish entities should be reminded that the world has now known that Shaikh Zakzaky is been oppressed because of his stands against injustice and tyranny of puppets of Imperialists in Nigeria. Therefore the federal government will be held responsible should anything untoward happens to the brave leader of the pious and the oppressed in Africa, Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).
We hereby calls on peace lovers in Nigeria and the international community to rise against this systematic tyranny perpetrated by the government of General Buhari. We should denounce these acts of oppression and impunity in unison calling for the immediate and unconditional release of the revered leader of the Islamic movement , his Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H).
The world will never forget the massacre of over one thousand Muslim followers of Shaikh Zakzaky including women and children by the government of General Muhammadu Buhari.
All those involved in this barbaric act must be brought to book.
