By Ibrahim Usman

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheen Yaqoub Zakzaky has set aside three days for the commemoration of this year’s Eidel Ghadeer.

The event is to be held in three consecutive days at the Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria from Saturday 17th Zul Hijjah ( 11th October, 2014) to 19th Zul Hijjah ( 13th October 2014).

Eidel Ghadeer is the day marking the expression of Wilayah of Imam Ali (AS) as the successor of the Holy Prophet and Master and Commander of the Believers (Ameerul Mu’mineen) after the Prophet.

The day is the grand Eid festival observed in response to the declaration of the Imamate instituted and declared by the Holy Prophet on the 18th of Zul Hijjah after his first and last pilgrimage.
