Thousands participated in a protest march for the freedom of Al-Quds on Friday 31st May 2019, organized by Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of Shaikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky (H) in different towns and cities in Nigeria just like in many countries around the world.
This is inline with call of Imam Ruhullah Khomeni (QS) to show and express support for the Palestine on the last Friday of Ramadan.
In Bauchi tow the procession, led by Mal Ahmad Yashi, took off after the Friday prayer from Ajiya Friday mosque through some major prominent streets within central Bauchi town. Thounsads of protesters marched while carrying some banners, flags, posters and other items as they were chanting slogans to voice out their stand on the fate of the Palestinian people as stated by late Imam Ruhullah Khomenei (QS). The Imam called on World Muslims to stand for the Palestine as well as other oppressed around the world. The Protesters also called for the immediate freedom to the leader of Islamic Movement in Nigeria Shaikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H), his wife Malama Zeenat who have been denied proper medical consultation since the Zaria Massacre of December 2015 and urgently need medical attention outside the country.
Many onlookers expressed support for the liberation of Al-Quds and Palestine while denouncing all acts of oppression and atrocities all over the world. At the end of the peaceful protest, Mal Ahmad Yashi delivered a short speech on the world Quds day, oppression in different part of the world spearheaded by the Global Zionist with the use of various tools and reiterated the stand of the movement on the immediate release of Shaikh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H), his Wife Malama Zeenat, who need urgent medical attention.
The burning of the Zionist flag and a closing prayer marked the end of this year’s protest march in Bauchi, Nigeria.
