Memories: Zaria Massacre: On the occasion of the second Anniversary of the 12 December 2015–By: Musa Bayi Mohammed

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Our Logic, the Logic of our movement, is the logic of the believers and the logic of the Holy Quran.

We are from God, and to God we shall return.

No power is capable of challenging such logic.
They cannot stand against a movement that considers itself and all its beings from God and whose ideal is to go from here toward its beloved.
The close-minded are not capable of confronting people who embrace martyrdom as they would their most beloved ones.
The bitter memory of December 12, 2015, remains fresh in our hearts and it will forever remain from Generation to generation.

It could be recalled that the Nigerian army laid siege to the residence of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky from 12th to 14th December, 2015, killing over one thousand of his followers including his three more biological sons in addition to the first three the same marauding army had massacred in 2014 under Goodluck Jonathan.

Apart from hundreds of people killed for a crime they never committed, the Nigerian government has been leading a campaign of calumny and innuendos to besmirch the image of Shiek Zakzaky whose movement is so pacifist that even his staunchest enemies can never accuse him of single individual.

But it is sad that his illegal detention in spite of his urgent need for medical attention, Zakzaky’s followers are being subjected to state-sanctioned persecution such as conniving with politicians to place illegal ban on our activities, processions and gatherings which are protected by the Nigerian constitution.

As Shiek Zakzaky clocks two years since the Nigerian government staged a brutal campaign against him and his followers Am writing this to express my displeasure over his continued detention, and i nevertheless, call on the Nigerian government to immediately discharge Zakzaky as well as his followers who are being incarcerated by in various prisons across the countries. I also call for the perpetrators of the Zaria massacre to be booked.
Lastly, as difficult as it is for us to endure the agony of such a loss, our people are still standing, as determined as ever before, to dedicate more martyrs.
