Members of the Academic Forum Of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (AFIM), Kano staged a protest calling for the unconditional release of his Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H). The procession was staged after the eid fitr prayers at Fagge Mosque, on Tuesday 6th July, 2016.
The protest march passed through Kofar Mazugal towards Aminu Kano way and ended at Kano Markaz, Kofar Waika.
The protesters, carrying banners and posters, were chanting the #free Zakzaky# slogans and distributed release letters of their calls to passersbys.
Shaikh Zakzaky (H) has been held in custody since after the unjustfied Attack of the Nigerian military on the Shaikh Zakzaky and his followers on 12th-14th December 2016 where about 1000+ brothers and sisters have been killed or missing while about 200 are being held unjustly in prisons. The international Human Rights organisations and other bodies condemned the atrocities.
