The 6th meeting of the International Conference on Islamic Awakening has ended on Wednesday. The three-day meeting which started on Monday took place at the Esteqlal Hotel in Tehran, Iran.
Over fifty leading figures and influential personalities in global Islamic Movement attended the meeting, exchanging views on the latest developments in Islamic awakening, challenges and how to remove the challenges and counter-terrorism. Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky was among participants at the meeting.
Issues discussed focused on how to guard the awakening from being hijacked by foreign elements, as well as modeling the awakening process in the footstep of late Imam Khomeini (QS). The meeting also reviewed the achievements recorded since the first international conference on Islamic Awakening, and what followed after.
Sheikh Zakzaky had in an interview with Presstv called for unity among Muslims, so as not to allow western countries hijack the Islamic awakening movement for their selfish interest.
