During the attack on Pro Zakzaky protesters, two have been confirmed killed by the securities on Tuesday the 9th of July 2019. The two persons killed are Mahmud Umar, 14, and Jafar Mika’il.
Several were either injured or arrested. Any attack on security forces were not carried out by followers of Sheikh Zakzaky as stated earlier. It could be a tactic played by plain clothed security operatives installed within the protesters, to give a dog a bad name in order to hang it.
It is interesting to know that protest is not a threat to peace but threat to oppression and oppressors. Whoever attack a protest is going against peace and must be seen as a criminal. The book of history is capturing and writing all the crimes committed by oppressors including the 2015 Zaria Massacre where hundreds were killed and buried in mass graves.
Accoding to Punch Newspaper When contacted, the Federal Capital Territory Police spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah, said no policeman died during the clash with the IMN members, He said, “We don’t have any casualty, no policeman died. Why would we hide such a thing? There was no casualty.”
He also denied that the IMN members seized a gun from a policeman. He said, “No police gun is missing, we have no record that the Shiite members snatched guns from our men.”
