In the series of events marking Eidel Ghadeer, Kaduna zone of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the guardianship of His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky Thursday (23/10/20140, commemorated the event with spectacular glamour.
The event which took place in the evening at ‘Yanlilo field Tudunwada Kaduna, drew thousands of people.
Speaker at the occasion, Malan Mukhtar Sahabi narrated the Ghadeer Khum chronicle and the eventual appointment of Imam Ali by the Prophet on pulpit following divine message.
He explained at length how the event took place 10 yearsafter Hijra during the prophet last pilgrimage, and quoted Suratul Ma’idah, verse 67, revealed to the Holy Prophet on the way after the pilgrimage, as a result of which a hasty stop over was made at a place called Ghadeer Khum where the declaration and express of Wilayat was made.
Malan Mukhtar also cited some references from annals of history and other numerous Ahadith on narratives of Ghadir Khum event to buttress his point. He further explained how allegiance was publicly made to Imam Ali (AS) under the supervision of the Holy Prophet at Ghadeer Khum station.
Highlights of the occasion included songs of praise on Mastership of Imam Ali (AS) and parade by Fudiyyah schools.
In a related development, a home-coming Walimah was organized for the Ameer Of Kaduna zone, Malam Mukhtar Sahabo on his return for studies abroad.
people from the zone attended the Walimah in honour of the cleric, where he urged members to seek knowledge at all times.
He always commended memebers for being steadfast on the cause while he was awaya, and called on them not to relent.
