July 25, 2014 Killings: Remebrance Day marked in Zaria Amidst Police Attack

25th of July 2014 is a day which cannot be forgotten by followers of Sheikh Zakzaky and people conscience. It was a day 3 sons were killed by the Nigeria along 30 others while marking international Quds day. The day is marked nationwide to remember to fallen heroes. In Zaria, the commemoration took place at Daru-Rahmah burial ground and was attacked by security forces on Saturday the 25th of July 2020 towards the tail end of the programme.

The security forces fired canisters of teargas and live ammunition on the defenseless people to disperse the gatherings but in vain, the programme ended with speech and closing prayers.

The leader Shiekh Ibrahim Zakzaky (H) once said in one of his speech; “The truth Cannot be suppressed with the barrel of Gun.” All these inhumane actions from the Nigerian Army and Wahabism ideology shows how cancerous they are in the nation state.
The march in Zaria was one of many Quds Day processions that took place in towns and cities across Nigeria. Al-Quds Day has been observed peacefully in Nigeria over the last 33 years under the leadership of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, a mass movement led by Sheikh Zakzaky.
