Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) wrapped up in Yola

A 3 day (13-16 April, 2014) Islamic Vacation Course for School Children, organised by Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement, at Govt Boys Seconday School Demsawo, Yola Adamawa state ended on 16th April, 2014.

About 250 students from various Schools in Yola and evnirons attended the short course. Areas treated include Fiqh, Seerah, Qur’an, Hadeeth, Akhlaq, mathematic, Arabic language etc in addition to lectures on various topics such as a lecture on Islamic Movement under Sheikh Zakzaky by Brother Shuaibu Ahmad; a lecture on the resistance of Modibbo Zubairu against colonial masters by Mallam Abubakr Sanusi Fombina- a staff of Yola Museum, and other invited speakers.

After the programme, the participants visited Yola Mesium where they saw one of the letters written by Modibbo Zubairu to his students and disciples of Sheikh Uthamn bn Foido in which he stressed his allegiance to Imam Asr(AJ).
