Sheikh Yaquob Yahaya Katsina, who is an Ameer, Katsina zone of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the spiritual leadership of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, says this during his speech at the 3-day annual seminar, organized by Youth Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria wrapped up in Kano zone of the Movement on Sunday, 5th of September, 2016.
The cleric speaking on voluntary contributions made by sisters, followers of late Sheikh Usman Bin Fodi during his era, admonished sisters of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria to be a carbon copy of sisters of Sheikh Usman Bin Fodi. He traced various instances where female among followers of late Bin Fodi were ceasing opportunities to spread the call of Sheikh Usman Bin Fodi, most especially at centennial ceremonies of then time.
Speaking on significance of seeking knowledge, Sheikh Ya’qoub Yahaya strictly stressed the need for all and sundry member of the of Islamic Movement to be educated, most especially in the area of Unity of Allah(Tauheed). He added that, sooner or later, masses will start giving their hands of allegiance. He categorically asserted that, when the moribund Nigerian government is falling, it will be overthrown with its misguided Sunni clerics. Therefore the great task ahead is unexplainable in the area of knowledge which is the bedrock of every society and an existing nation in the universe.
Therefore, it is of high significance for each and every brother and sister among youths of this Movement to endeavour not to be left in the cold when it comes to attending all Islamic activities of the Movement.
Sheikh Yaqoub Yahaya advised parents of the Islamic Movement to encourage and support their growing children to become doctors of philosophy and Professors in different aera of disciplines in Western education. Adding that, the current suppress of brothers and sisters in Katsina was as a result farsightedness of enemies of Islamic in patronage of the despotic Nigerian government to curtail our progression in areas of knowledge.
At the end of his speech, he stressed the need for seeking knowledge not only to our wards but to ourselves in searching for Western and
Islamic Knowledge.
