Islamic Movement in Nigeria Commemorates Shaheed Musa Sadiq

The Islamic Movement  in Nigeria organized  Special prayers commemorating  the martyrdom of  Shaheed  Mallam Musa Sadiq  in Suleja, Niger state, on Sunday 27-4-2014/26-6-1435 who was killed last year.

  Prayers were held at  Fudiyya Islamic School followed by  a Peaceful procession to township Cemetry where the Shahid was laid to rest.

The Amir of Suleja Mal Hassan Adamu, who delivered a Speech, described the Late Musa Sadiq as responsible whose death remain indelible in our minds for the rest of our life in our struggle to enthrone justice, equity and fraternity in our exploitative Society.


Mal Hassan  said the Islamic  Movement is sincere in its vision to uproot bad governance that does not recognize the existence of God Almighty and respect  for the fundamental human right of its citizens and replace it with  system of  justice, equity and transparency.

“ We are  not here to incite violence or unrest in the society because no any right thinking person  will carry all members of his family to incite violence, we are peace loving people that want to live in peace and harmony under Islamic atmosphere’’. He emphasized


He also accused Nigerian Government to be careful in its attempt to clamp down on Islamic movement under the leadership of Sayyid Ibrahim Zakzaky, citing example of  former military dictator Late Gen. Sani Abacha who did not succeed despite the fact that he was a Military General.

He concluded that remembering this great hero is in compliance with the directives of our spiritual leader who said we should eulogize those who sacrifice their lives for  the struggle in the course of almighty Allah SWT.

In an interviewed with reporter of Pointer Express  newspaper ,the widow of late Shahid Musa Sadiq malama Adama said she was very happy with his martyrdom because it is a blessing from Almighty Allah SWT which everybody is aspiring to achieve, for the fact that he was killed in propagating Islam, I have nothing to regret, I only missed my husband.”I am very comfortable with my life  as the Shuhada Foundation is taking good care of  us  also my Special appreciation goes to Islamic Movement in Suleja for doing everything possible to  make us happy, urging members to continue and sacrifice for the sake of Almighty Allah in order to achieve our vision."

It could be recalled late Shahid Musa Sadiq was shot dead on 5th March-2013 by a combine team of Police and soldiers during an annual procession organized by Islamic Movement in Suleja to mark the birthday commemoration of sayyada Fatima Zahra, the daughter of prophet Muhammad SAW when the Nigerian Military Operatives from Zuma Barracks opened fire on innocent muslims.

The late Musa was an indigene of Toto in Nasarawa State had attended Nurul Huda Islamic Primary School in Toto and then proceeded to Government Science Secondary school Suleja, he also attended Quranic studies with Mal Muhammadu Itawa at Unguwar Bayi which he succeeded to memorized in six months,he  also worked at Madrasatul Sakafatul Islamiyya at Unguwar tsohuwar Post office Suleja as a teacher.

On 7th August 2010 the late Musa  married Malama Adama A Hamid and the family was blessed with two kids Fatima (3years old) and Sukaina (5 months old).
