Iran marks Sayyidah Fatimah (AS) martyrdom anniversary

Grief reigns supreme across Iran as mourners commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyidah Fatimah Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammad (SAWA).

According to Press TV, ceremonies are underway nationwide to mark the tragic occasion, with millions of Iranians from all walks of life attending services to pay tribute to Sayyidah Fatimah (SA).

Sayyidah Fatima Zahra (SA), who was the wife of the First Infallible Imam of Prophet Mohammad (SAWA) Household, Imam Ali (PBUH), is regarded as a role model by Muslim women for her moral and religious virtues.

She was the mother of the Second Infallible Heir of Prophet Mohammad (SAWA), Imam Hassan (AS), and the Third Infallible Successor to Prophet Mohammad (SAWA), Imam Hussein (AS).

Similar ceremonies are also being held in several other Muslim countries including Iraq, Lebanon, and Pakistan and Nigeria.
