Iran Establishes World Islamic Press Union.

The Union of World Islamic Press was established by the Islamic Republuc of Iran aimed at uniting the Muslim media world wide as explained by Iran’s Minister of Culture  and Islamic Guidance.

Iran Establishes World Islamic Press Union. First conference of the journalist and media organizations was held in October ending.

Establishment of press union was initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran after realizing that no other country championed the course of uniting the Muslim Media to stand against western media’s negative reporting about Islam.

About 35 Media practitioners, senior editors and editors from 50 countries attended the first conference of the Islamic World Press on Friday the 25th of October 2011 in Tehran.

The Editor of the  popular Almizan Newspaper published by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria was in attendance; also in attendance was former acting editor of the Pointer Express also published by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria.
