The Iranian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Saeed Koozechi, has delivered a letter of condolence to Sheikh Zakzaky on behalf of Iranian government over the brutal killing of 33 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, among them were 3 children of the Sheikh by Nigerian military forces.
Deliverng the letter to the sheikh during a condolence visit on Monday the 28th of July 2014, the ambassador expressed deep saddness over the incidence.
Receiving the letter, Sheikh Zakzaky expressed appreciation on the visit and the concern shown.
In another development top Nigerian politicians among whom were former Speaker Ghali Umar Na’abba and Senator Ahmad Mohammed Makarfi also paid seperate visits to commiserate with Sheikh Zakzaky at his Gyellesu residence same day. A legislator with the Kaduna State House of Assembly Muhammad Ali, Veteran Journalist Adamu Adamu and Ibrahim Gashash were also among the teeming sympathizers to Sheikh Zakzaky.
