Followers of Prophet Muhammad (SAWA)'s Ahlulbaut  worldwide marked the first Friday of the month of Al-Muharram to show solidarity and mourn with Prophet's  grandson Imam Husain (AS) over the inhumane killing of a thirsty 6-month-old Child on 7th of Muharram and members of the household of the  Noble Prophet (SAWA). The day was marked in Kano and other places in NIgeria too on Friday the 7th of Muharram 1444.

The family on plain of Karbala were denied water  by Yazid  army.  A  soldier named Harmala, expert in shooting spears and arrow, killed the infant with his three edged sharpen and poisoned  arrow. The arrow split Abdullahi Radi’s throat. In pain the child grabbed the chest of Imam Husain (AS) as blood spittied over Imam Husain (AS) body. Ya Allah, Ya Allah, Ya Allah!!!! Labbaika Ya Husain!!!

In Kano discipline of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky attended the 8th Ashura Mourning session marked Abdullahi Radi’s Day at Fagge Friday Mosque on 7th Muharram 1444 (5/8/2022) colorfully dressed in mourning attires. Nursing mothers carrried thier babies to the venue dressed in green and Ya Husain Tags on thier forehead to mourn Abdullahi Radi massacre in the plains of Karbala more than 1400 years ago.

The guest speakers of the day include Mal Mansur Ukasha and Mal Mustapha Gadan kaya with Sheikh Sunusi AbdulKadi Koki chairing the occasion. The speakers had briefly discussed the biography of Abdullahi Radi and what had happened to his killing by yazid bin mu’awuya’n forces. Mal Mansur discussed Imam Husain (AS) and his followers were denied to even drink water for some days with Abdullahi Radi’s mother Rabab taking her child to Imam Husain Sister, Sayyida Zainab to please plea with Imam Husain to please plea with yazid forces to at least give Abdullahi Radi water to quench his thirst.

Imam Husain pleaded for the water only for Harmala to shoot his poisonous arrow through the throat of the child, killing him instantly with tears and a grieving voice filling the atmosphere. This very evil act explained by Mal Mansur,  was aimed at wiping  progeny of the Noble Prophet from the surface of the earth.

This very act differentiated those on the path of truth from those on path of  falsehood. Mal Mustapha has also explained despite the fact that Imam Husain had on different occasion prayed for water and answered,   however, in the plains of Karbala despite being starved of water and thirst experienced he didn’t pray for the water why?

The experience has exposed the cruelty and inhumane attitude of enemeis of the prophet from  sincere believers. . We still remember and pray we will remain steadfast on the rightful path of Imam Husain, and remain always by his side.

After a brief comment by Sheikh Sunusi. expressed solidarity with mothers of linfants while presenting gift items to them.

Members of Ittihadul Shu’arah  had earlier mourned the killing of Abdullahi Radi martyred on the plains of Karbala with their  poet.
