The daily Ashura mourning with lovers and followers of our Noble Prophet (S) continued. The 7th session of the Mourning gathering was held at Kano zone in Fagge Mosque, Kano city Nigeria on Tuesday 6th Muharram 1442 (25/8/2020).

Shaikh Sunusi AbdulKadir was the guest speaker at the 7th day Ashura session who spoke on the lessons from the Ashura tragedy from the book “Kul ma fi kaunu yabkil Husain (AS)”.
Shaikh Sunusi while reviewing the plea by thousands from Kufa of their need to have Imam Husain (AS) with them at Kufa in which he left Makka towards Kufa but only for them to betray him i.e. retracting their allegiance from Imam Husain (AS) under the pretext of the powers of oppression by yazid bin mu’awuya and his army. In the plains of Karbala after yazid’s army have encircled Imam Husain (AS) and his followers, some started running away from the Karbala in which Imam Husain talked to those present that if they feel they have an excuse and felt they could not stay with him they may leave. Only to have 72 real followers of him left with him. Shaikh Sunusi further says:

“what lessons can we derive from this single event? Do you have any excuse to go away and leave our leader in this world and in Jannah in the next world with an oppressed army for him to be killed? For what so even reason for not being with Imam Husain, one has revoke his allegiance to Imam Husain and pay his allegiance to yazid who he shall be with him in this world and in the hereafter. If we reflect with a contemporary example, should our Leader Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky say oppressive government of Buhari and his aides are planning to kill him, and extending his message to his followers, would someone remain mute, say there is no need for our daily protest march and the call for his unconditional release? Indeed by doing such one has revoked his allegiance to Shaikh Zakzaky and has extended it to Buhari and his aides.”
Muslims followers of Ahlulbayt School mourn the killings of Imam Husain (AS) so that by reflecting history they owe it a religious duty to extend condolences to the Noble Prophet (S) who he himself mourned the killing of his grandson before the event as documented in various books. Likewise to take lesspms and be cautious of not falling on the pathway of yazid bin mu’awuya and standing on to the pathway of Imam Husain (AS).
Sheikh Sunusi has also reviewed how Imam Husain (AS) and his dedicated followers were denied food and water but remained resolute against all oppression and steadfast along this noble pathway. A son of Imam Husain was feeling very tasty asking for water from Imam Husain (AS) which there wasn’t, he then called him and opened his mouth telling him he may suck his tongue maybe he might get water only for him to taste a burning tongue that has no water. Abul Fadl had battled yazid soldiers who had denied water for Imam Husain (AS) and had got to the water source but didn’t drink a drop owing it a duty to deliver the water to Imam Husain (AS) his leader and guide. What would someone learn with the brave stand of Abul Fadl?
Alh Mustapha Gadon Kaya was among those that aired Ashura songs during the mourning, and a drama scene of the history of Ashura was carried out. After Maghreb and Isha prayers, Ziyarat Imam Husain (AS) and dua tawassil was done
