The Leader of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered a closing speech of the 3-day joint conference organized by sisters and Academic

 Forums of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria in Jalingo on Sunday the 2^nd of September 2012.

 The lecture was centered around the theme of the conference “ towards better understanding of the Islamic Movement”. In his speech he explains “ we are not ignorant of ourselves as we know ourselves, however, we know some are ignorant of us while others just preferred to remain ignorant”

 Therefore the leader delivered inspiring lecture on Islamic Movement, its members and mission.  Revisiting the history of Islamic struggle in this part of world, the Sheikh explained how Sheikh Uthman Bn Fodio called the Ummah to unity and Islamic Revival during his time which remains the model of the Islamic Movement.  He also reminded the Ummah of its responsibilities adding the Movement is not about attaining to the positions of leadership rather than as a means of felicity in this world and hereafter.  He therefore stressed the importance of proper understanding of  motive and mission of the Islamic Movement.
