Just a little over an hour ago, soldiers of the Nigerian Army cordoned off the residence of Sheikh Adamu Tsoho Jos, a cleric of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, preparatory to an expected attack of the Ashura procession on or about Thursday.

After a brief appearance, the soldiers left without an incident.

Report has it that the Nigerian army had secret meetings for two days before this intimidating tactics with some rival religious groups and thugs in Jos.

A similar attack took place during the Ashura event in 2016 in jos that resulted in the torching of the Islamic center and the viscous attacks that resulted in the wounding of several members and the arrest of a number of them, including a minor.

We await to see their next action and would keep you informed.
