International Quds Day Conference: Quds Day 2014 martyrs remembered in Nigeria PDF Print E-mail

The 3rd Annual International Quds Day Conference and Exhibition organized by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria was held in Abuja.The Conference was blessed with both Islamic and Christian Scholars including a representative of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). 

The prograame took place on Satruday the 28th of July 2018

In his speech , Rev. Joshua M Ray represented by Mr Sulisma Lemuel gave a comprehensive paper presentation on the pain of injustice and the miscarriage of justice in Nigeria.

He showed his dismay on the extra judicial killings committed by the Nigerian Army against brothers and sisters of the Islamic movement. He further expatiated by giving many instances of the implications of disunity among people and urge the government to stop this barbaric act against all Nigerians and set Shaikh Zakzaky free.

The second session of the Conference was blessed with the profound speech of the renowned historian , Professor Dahiru Yahya.  The Professor gave a remarkable speech on Palestine and what people should know about how the Palestinians are been oppressed.

Like Oppressed Palestinians , Like Oppressed Nigerians: Unity Is The Key To Freedom was the topic given to the scholar. He also shade light on how Nigerians will do better if they hold on to the rope of unity and shun all oppressors .

He urged Nigerian to unite and stand with the truth and also called on the Nigerians government to set Shaikh Zakzaky and his wife free from what he called a brutal and unconstitutional detention.

Other Speakers and guests include , Dr John Danfulani , Comrade Deji Adeyanju , Professor Abdullahi Danladi , Professor Isa Hasan , Miss Ndi Kato and Comrade Ahmad Isa Shuaib .

After the lecture session , the Exhibition session was observed as well as songs of praises to the martyrs.

It can be recalled that on the 25th of July , 2014 the Nigerian Army killed 34 brothers and sisters of the Islamic movement , including 3 sons of Shaikh Zakzaky and also a Christian brother Chief Julius Anyawu, 65.
