Thousands gathered at Merit House in Abuja Federal Capital on Thursday the 13th of Rajab 1445 (25/1/24) to commemorate the birthday Anniversary of the best of creatures after Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny.
People gathered in the colourful and well-decorated hall to commemorate the birthday of Imam Ali bn Abi Talib peace be upon. Activities include poet by poetry group of the Islamic Movement followed by a talent display of the Taekwondo group.
Sheikh Muhammad Sani Zuru delivered a lengthy speech on the status of Imam Ali (AS) who, he said, Imam Ali (AS) was a protection to the holy Prophet throughout his life citing the incident when the Imam slept on the mat of the holy Prophet when the Quraish planned to kill him in the night.
Born inside the holy Kaaba, Imam Ali (AS) is the only figure with such status. After his birth the Imam sucked from the pure mouth of the holy prophet SAWA, The lecturer explained, adding the sublime status of the Imam is only known by his creature Allah and the holy prophet SAWA.
The speaker also explained that Islam survived and flourished through the wealth of the Sayiidah Khadijah and the sword of Imam Ali (AS).
He called on the audience and Muslims in general to emulate the sacrifice of the holy Imam and to give their lives for Islam, especially in this era when the enemies of Islam are planning day and night against it.
