A day after the grand Eidel Ghadeer commemoration in Zaria, Kano zone of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the guardianship of His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky followed suit with a momentous gathering to celebrate the of expression of Wilayah.
The event took place Tuesday night (14/10/2014), at the Kano Hussainiyyah.
Guest speaker at the occasion, Sheikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi explained to the gathering the significance of Day of Ghadeer (18th Zul Hijjah) as the greatest Eid in which after completion of Hajj pilgrimage, the Holy Prophet appointed Ali Ameerul Mu’mineen (AS) as his apparent Heir and Successor at a location (intersection) called ‘Ghadeer Khum’.
He gave brief account of events that took place that day, where a pulpit made of camel saddles was mounted on which the Holy Prophet mounted together with Imam Ali, lifted Imam Ali’s hand to the view of multitude of Companions, and declared him his Successor and the Master of all believers.
Sheikh Turi read out the Ghadeer sermon and urged people to be steadfast in allegiance to Ameerul Mu’mineen (AS) and disseminating the concept of Wilayah to

He expressed gratitude to Allah (T) Who raised among Muslims of this country a great Leader in the person of Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqoub Zakzaky (H), through whom the concept of Wilayah of Ameerul Mu’mineen (AS) was disseminated and demonstrated.
Highlights of the occasion were drama presentation, which demonstrated the event at Ghadeer Khum, poetry recitation and songs of praise led by Mustapha Limanci.
