On Friday the 23 th of October, 2015 hoodlums attacked Muslims brothers and Sisters on their way trekking to Ashura gathering in Jos. The hoodlums, under the order of one of the Wahhabi cleric in Jos Sheikh Aliyu bn Aliyu popularly known as Ali Dan Ali, attacked the peaceful Mourners
using cutlasses, knives and iron rods, and injured fifteen at varying degrees including females.
Since the first of Muharram Muslim brothers and sisters trek from thier destinations to Husainiyyah located at Unguwar Rogo Jos peacefully for Ashura mourning gatherings. It was on the Friday the 10th of Muharram the hoodlums carried out the unprovoked attack under the order the cleric.
The injured are now receving treatment.
