A one day seminar organised by Members of Guards was held on Saturday the 24th of August 2013 at Husaniyyah baqiyyatullah Zaria.
The theme of the seminar is" towards improving good relationship between the Guards and Representatives" . lectures on were delivered by invited Scholars during the seminar. The first lecture was delivered by Mallam Muhammad Turi who spoke on the role of Guards in helping the Islamic Struggle in Nigeria under the Leadership of Sheikh Zakzaky. The second lecture on the Mission of the Movement was delivered by Malama Zeenah Ibraheem. The Leader of the Islamic Movement delivered a closing lecture where described the role of Guards as additional Tasks taken by the some people upon themselves. The tasks are many, the Sheikh said adding that a Guard should fully know his work for the fact that the way Guard is seen from the outside by the rest of the Public. The work of the Guards, who are not policemen or soldiers, include facilating proper arrangementduring events and security . Other task include fire service, though, guards are not well equipped, they helped in various fire incidents and accidents. The Guards are just volunteers who dont receive a pay, they rather spend from their pockets to carry out thier activities despite the hardship in Nigeria.
